FOUNDER
Ex. Officio / Historian
jeanalbertrenaud@gmail.com

Jean Albert Renaud (JAR) is a visionary, activist, world class equestrian and horse breeder, music producer and former Motown songwriter and recording artist.  He has combined these skills, resources and energies as an activist, to launch efforts to raise awareness about Human Rights issues, to empower youth, protect wild horses and promote HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention practices.  In 2005, JAR founded Protect Yourself 1, Inc.  a comprehensive, multicultural-targeted organization that implements state-of-the-art entertainment education, program development and outreach initiatives that advance the mission to empower and protect America’s Treasures: America’s youth, the future builders of our nation and the Mustang, who helped transform America’s wilderness into the foundation for today’s contemporary society. Connects at-risk youth and horses to recreation program, designed to raise the consciousness level of children on ecological issues and urban concerns. It is through his vision and commitment that Protect Yourself 1, Inc. was founded. JAR is a celebrated international horseman and horse breeder who has trained horses and riders for members of the royal families of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. From the age of three, he learned from his grandfather to respect the horse for its spirit as well as its strength. Such sensitivity has informed JAR’s ability to build a very successful horse breeding and training farm called Sunshine Acres. “The horse helps me find oneness with nature”, says Jean Albert Renaud. And that sentiment is what informs his purpose in life: to help our children appreciate and become empowered by the “natural oneness of life”.
